Contribution to a Meeting on Supporting Women’s Civic and Political Participation in Casablanca

On February 20, 2021, Mr. Mohamed Benlaidi participated in a discussion meeting held in Casablanca, delivering an intervention on the topic: “The role of civil society in supporting women’s civic and political participation.”

The meeting was organized by the Tadamoun Association and the Oual Horia Association, chaired by former minister Najat Saghli, under the slogan:
“2021 Elections: Toward inclusive representation based on parity, reviving the spirit and values of the 2011 Constitution.”

The event served as a platform for discussion on the importance of strengthening women’s participation in civic and political life and the role of civil society in advocating for parity and equal opportunity.

The discussions also highlighted the need to reinforce women’s political empowerment mechanisms and improve their access to decision-making positions, while promoting participatory approaches to ensure fair representation.
