On Thursday, May 14, the city of El Jadida hosted the first multi-stakeholder forum organized by Sada Autism Children Association of El Jadida on the topic of “inclusive access to environmental justice in the El Jadida province.”

The event served as a platform for discussion and exchange among civil society actors and institutional stakeholders on ways to promote environmental justice and ensure the inclusion of vulnerable groups, particularly children with autism spectrum disorders, in environmental and development policies.

The forum is part of the association’s engagement within a civil coalition contributing to the implementation of activities of a project led by the Dokkala Non-Governmental Associations Network focused on advocacy for environmental justice, in partnership with Lawyers Without Borders, under the Strategic Civil Society Support Dialogue program in Morocco.

The meeting saw active engagement from participants, who emphasized the importance of strengthening both environmental and rights-based approaches, as well as improving advocacy and civic participation mechanisms to ensure a healthy and equitable environment for all groups.

This initiative is part of a broader series of actions aimed at strengthening civil society capacities in environmental justice and consolidating partnerships between civil society and institutions involved in sustainable development.
