On Saturday, May 16, the Dokkala Non-Governmental Associations Network (RADNG) held in Sidi Bennour the second multi-stakeholder forum on the theme: “From standards to effective implementation of laws: advocacy for environmental justice and the roles of civil society in the Sidi Bennour province.”

The event was organized in partnership with Lawyers Without Borders under the Strategic Civil Society Support Dialogue program in Morocco, funded by the European Union.

The forum served as a platform for exchange and discussion among civil society actors and stakeholders working on environmental and sustainable development issues, focusing on ways to strengthen civil society advocacy for the effective implementation of environmental laws and their translation into concrete actions on the ground.

Participants also discussed the role of civil society in supporting local environmental policies, enhancing citizen participation mechanisms, and improving coordination with public institutions and elected officials to protect the environment and promote environmental justice.

This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts of the network and its partners to strengthen the capacities of civil society actors in environmental advocacy and to consolidate environmental governance and participatory democracy principles at the local level.
