As part of its commitment to human rights and social development issues, the network participated in the regional roundtable organized by the Regional Human Rights Commission of Casablanca-Settat on Thursday, March 26, 2026, in Casablanca under the theme: “Equitable Justice: Pathways Toward Empowering Women and Girls in Access to Justice.”
The roundtable aimed to enrich public debate and deepen understanding of the obstacles preventing the establishment of equitable justice for women and girls, while also addressing the gender gap in access to justice.
The meeting also highlighted the recommendations issued by the National Human Rights Council in its annual and thematic reports since 2019, which advocate for a comprehensive approach to ensuring women’s and girls’ effective access to justice.
Discussions focused on three main themes:
The national legal framework between legislative achievements and the persistence of real inequality;
Judicial procedures between the limitations of fairness for women and ways to overcome barriers to justice;
Structural, social, and cultural obstacles to equitable justice, as well as empowerment mechanisms.
The event witnessed strong participation from public, judicial, academic, and democratic civil society institutions, in addition to various stakeholders concerned with human rights and justice issues in the region.
At the conclusion of the roundtable, a set of recommendations was issued to strengthen cooperation and interaction between institutions and civil society actors in order to promote more equitable access to justice for women and girls.
