Recruitment of a Senior Expert (Socio-Legal / Environmental)
1. Context
The Network of Doukkala Non-Governmental Associations (RADNG) is an independent regional organization established in 2002, working to strengthen civil society capacities, promote participatory democracy, human rights, and sustainable development.
In partnership with Avocats Sans Frontières (ASF Morocco), part of a consortium including Handicap International and “A Better Future for Our Children” Association, RADNG is implementing a program funded by the European Union:
DIALOGUE “TAKWIA – IBTIKAR – HIWAR – TAGHYIR”
The project aims to influence public policies and develop advocacy under the theme:
“From Norm to Effectiveness: Advocacy for Environmental Justice in Doukkala Region (El Jadida & Sidi Bennour)”
It also includes the establishment of a free environmental legal assistance mechanism.
2. Objectives
Overall Objective:
Improve understanding of environmental impacts and barriers to environmental justice.
Specific Objective:
Conduct a socio-legal study to analyze public perceptions, identify barriers to complaint mechanisms, and provide actionable recommendations.
3. Scope of Work
The expert will conduct a study on:
Perceived environmental impacts
Barriers to accessing complaint and legal mechanisms
4. Role of the Expert
Design, lead, and finalize a high-quality socio-legal study, ensuring methodological rigor and actionable insights.
5. Key Responsibilities
Develop methodology and tools
Supervise field data collection
Conduct interviews and focus groups
Analyze data (qualitative & quantitative)
Produce reports
Lead workshops and present findings
6. Required Profile
Master’s or PhD
Proven experience in socio-legal/environmental studies
Strong analytical and writing skills
Fluency in Arabic and French
7. Duration & Location
Duration: 1–2 months
Start: April 2026
Location: El Jadida & Sidi Bennour
8. Financial Terms
Payment based on deliverables (50% / 50%)
Field expenses covered by contractor
9. Subcontracting
Not allowed without prior approval.
