As part of the activities of the project “From Standards to Effectiveness: Advocacy for Environmental Justice in the Doukkala Region (Provinces of El Jadida and Sidi Bennour)”, the Ayyadi Al Khair Association of Zemamra, a member of the coalition coordinated by RADNG in partnership with ASF, organized on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Zemamra Cultural Center, the theatrical performance “SIRT ZIT.”
This artistic activity was organized within the framework of awareness-raising actions aimed at promoting environmental justice and strengthening citizens’ awareness of environmental issues. Inspired by real-life situations, the play addressed various environmental challenges affecting local communities and highlighted the importance of protecting natural resources and ensuring access to environmental justice.
The performance brought together civil society actors, young people, citizens, and individuals interested in environmental issues. Through its scenes and messages, the play encouraged the audience to reflect on environmental challenges and the role that everyone can play in protecting the environment and defending environmental rights.
This initiative demonstrated the power of art and theatre as effective tools for awareness-raising and advocacy. It also contributed to bringing the principles of environmental justice closer to citizens in an accessible and participatory way, in line with the project’s objective of moving from standards to the effective implementation of environmental rights.
